Recalling China's Yangtze River of Gezhouba Project
葛洲坝水利枢纽工程，湖北省宜昌市，是三峡水利枢纽工程完工前中国最大的一座水电工程。该工程，1988年完成。 葛洲坝工程主要由电站、船闸、泄水闸、冲沙闸等组成。大坝全长2595米，坝顶高70米，宽30米。控制，总库容量15.8亿立方米。电站装机21台，年均发电量141亿度。建船闸3座，可通过万吨级大型船队。27孔泄水闸和15孔冲沙闸全部开启后的最大泄洪量，为每秒11万立方米。

葛洲坝水利枢纽，被誉为“万里长江第一坝”，是长江干流上第一座大型水利枢纽，位于中国湖北省宜昌市境内的长江三峡末端河段上，距上游的三峡水电站38公里，距下游宜昌市主城区约6公里。因坝址处江中原有一小岛葛洲坝而得名。
