Reviewing China's Chongqing Eling Park
重庆鹅岭公园前身为礼园，也称宜园，系清末重庆商会首届会长富商李耀庭的别墅，建于清末宣统年间（公元1909－1911年）。抗战时期，蒋介石夫妇在园中"飞阁"居住半年；英国大使卡尔也在“飞阁”居住达五年；澳大利亚大使馆曾设于园中。1949年重庆解放后，为西南军区司令部驻地。邓小平、刘伯承、贺龙、李达同志先后住居此处。在邓小平同志支持下，于1958年3月移交重庆市政府，1958年7月1日辟为公园开放，命名为"鹅岭公园".
